Dawn's Story

After highschool, I went to college at Grand Valley University. In my 3rd year, after changing my major for the 17th time and I STILL didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up, I took off for parts unknown. I bummed around the Caribbean for 7 months, crewing on Katamarans and giving tours through a National Snorkeling Monument. Paradise grows dull after awhile though, and my family ties were strong, so I came back to Michigan, where I worked and partied for several years. re 6 & 8 at the time, along with two horses, three cats and a very BIG dog.. Long after having given up hope of it, I had a child of my own at 40. Three days after our son's 2nd birthday, my husband, Dan, was killed in a car accident. In the last two years, we have put our lives back together quite well. I work in Print Management for a Fortune 500 company, living in Coopersville and commuting to Holland and Ada for work. We have done some remodeling this past year, and love the new look of our home. I am re-discovering who I am, and I am looking forward to everything that's yet to come.
